A Troubled Water

Walking down paths unknown,
Our roads have crossed,
A trail once wandered alone,
Where we found each other lost.

We see a fork in the road,
Ahead in the distance,
Where we face a world so cold,
To the peak of our resistance.

It is what we do,
We stay alive,
I need you,
Just to survive.

I will never understand,
All of what you do,
Take me by the hand,
Together right on cue.

We will burn down these walls,
Bridges take their place,
My heart releasing its casting calls,
Together we cross in grace.

We traverse this troubled water,
Accumulated from worst of our fears,
A place of countless slaughter,
Housing all our past tears.

Yet we cross in peace,
Leaving our past behind,
At the moment we release,
Our wounds healed with time.

I know that it is hard to believe,
Having never met there of,
I try not to deceive,
That with you I am in love.
