Somebody told me once before,
That life catches us all someday,
If you aren't ready for what's in store,
It will waste you away.
That I better watch my back when I'm sick,
And when I forget how to feel,
'Cause I may be moving quick,
But it's always on my heels.
I know there's a calm before the storm,
But darkness always merges into light;
The cold eventually becomes warm,
And something has to be wrong before you can make it right.
There's just one thing you should know,
That I no longer have a dream,
In my sleep there is nothing to show,
I just hope you get what I mean.
Now all I have is a reason,
A reason to believe it's all over,
My life is in the changing of it's season,
I'm finally ready to get older.
