Crawling Through the Filth

Before the night is gone,
Take a look in the mirror,
Before you continue on,
Just lend me your ear.

This is not the way to fight,
Back against the wall,
What would you do if you saw tonight,
That you're making no progress at all.

I'll never be enough,
To make you even consider to quit,
So with this knife I'll face the rough,
Do the damage you think will make you fit.

I can't take the way I stand still,
While I know what is going on,
My heart put against a drill,
A hole will be drawn.

How far can I push myself,
Without falling over the cliff,
Can I keep my stealth,
As I'm crawling through filth?

I'm afraid I will never make it right,
Cause we both know I must restrain,
What will become of me tonight,
What will become of my pain?
