A Lost Retreat

I look deeply into her eyes,
I can't believe I might do this,
I can not forever wear disguise,
Hidden in the love of her kiss.

I can not stand to break her heart,
I care far too much to dare hurt her,
I should have known from the start,
Blame myself for all that may occur.

I stare down the barrel,
Of our dearest reality,
I pull the trigger of peril,
Leaning on the cracks of morality.

We will find the forgotten right,
The answer hides within there,
If salvation is found in what might,
Then we will find the lost flare.

We wander down our path unknown,
Searching for any sign of the ones we miss,
Vagrants living a life ever so alone,
Hidden in the lies that make your abyss.

Standing here outside your window,
I only wish to make our peace,
Caught in the whine of the willows,
I cry out for your love to release.

I stare down the barrel,
Of our dearest reality,
I pull the trigger of peril,
Leaning on the cracks of morality.

We will find the forgotten right,
The answer hides within there,
If salvation is found in what might,
Then we will find the lost flare.

From my head to my feet,
I'm drowning in endless red,
Thriving in a lost retreat,
Trapped in the paradox of what you said.
