Other Side of Me

Who am I to hide in fear,
From something I'd love to be?
Ever since the moment I met you here,
I've wished for you to see,
This other side of me.

You are the one who brightens my day,
I am the one who admires your words.
What else is there to say,
I wish you could fly to see the views of the birds,
And feel this other side of me.

What is this I feel around you?
I can't be quite sure.
Do you feel the same way I do?
The softness hides without a cure,
In the other side of me.

Who am I to kid around,
I know exactly that it is you.
But how do you make my heart pound?
Making me feel all like I do,
Through this other side of me.

Until we meet I can only dream,
How it would feel to have your head on my shoulder,
Cuddling as a team,
Maybe we will meet when we are older,
And once and for all unleash this other side of me.

Another ode to you and me,
A token of my affection.
For it takes you to see,
My true reflection,
Hidden deep in this other side of me.

This other side of me,
Locked away just to tear me apart,
Just a symbol of what could be,
Just like the key you hold to my heart,
You unlock this otherside of me.
